Write for us

We welcome thoughtful pitches about the places, foodways, customs, homes and leisure of Southern life. A strong proposal has a clear reader in mind and a subject narrow enough to treat with care.

What we are looking for

Contributions may explain a regional custom, compare everyday choices, explore the background of a place or food tradition, or offer a useful way to plan an outing. We value specific subjects, fresh angles and writing that recognises variation across communities. Avoid treating one experience as universal or relying on a familiar regional stereotype.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the working idea, the central question, why it suits Southern Lifestyle Hub and what readers will understand or be able to do after reading. Include a brief outline and note any specialist knowledge, source material or commercial interest relevant to the proposal. Do not send a finished article unless requested.
